Before I jumped in the dlsr bandwagon, I was using the normal P&S compact which was basically what I did Point & Shoot. There was no framing, composition , checking where the sun was, exposure etc….
After getting myself the dslr and seeing the many fantastics photographs on the net and those listed by my fellow bros and sis in FB, I started to learn more on the camera, the knobs, buttons, the functions etc. Searching through video tutorials, books on photography to at least have an idea on what to do in a certain situation.
6 months has passed since I bought my 500D, and now I see things so differently especially people. I’m seeing highlights and shadows…..it’s frightening….it used to be pretty or not pretty, handsome or not but now it’s the highlights and shadows, the textures…..arrrgh…..must be going nuts….
